Northern Star Generation is owned jointly by Archmore International Infrastructure Fund and affiliates of Harbert Power, LLC and the California Public Employees’ Retirement System ("CalPERS").
Archmore International Infrastructure Fund is managed by the direct infrastructure equity investments team within the Real Estate & Private Markets (REPM) business area of UBS Global Asset Management, a large-scale asset manager. The team invests on a long-term basis in diversified, core equity infrastructure assets in OECD countries. REPM manages over USD 90 billion of assets supporting clients out of over 25 locations worldwide and with a team of around 550 professionals.
Harbert Power, a subsidiary of Harbert Management Corporation, is involved with development, construction, ownership and operation of independent power generating facilities and power related assets in North America. Since Harbert began its power business in 1986, the company has managed the investment of approximately $1.3 billion of equity across 31 power projects in the United States and Canada and raised approximately $1.7 billion of debt in the commercial bank and capital markets. Harbert develops, acquires and manages power assets for six investment funds, Harbinger Independent Power Fund’s I and II, Harbert Power Funds III, IV, and V, and Gulf Pacific Power, a joint venture with CalPERS.
